This, essentially, is a sequel to the Thanks 2 Frank album, providing the rest of the songs Warren played in his solo shows from 1994-96 (except for Zappa's "Chunga's Revenge"). "Road Rage," "The Beating" and "Whatever You Say, Mac" were all brand new in the March 1996 shows. "Transylvania Boogie" and "Willie The Pimp" are Frank Zappa songs. "In-Flight Entertainment" is an old Missing Persons song, and then of course there is Warren's masterpiece, "Ordinary World" (Duran Duran). Completing the album are the beautiful, acoustic "Suddenly Spring" and the weirdly skewed "A Little Exit Music." Complete review, with Warren's comments, in Privacy issue #26. Also, if you're a Duran Duran fan, check out the cover art - drawn by Nick Rhodes.

"I'm the most proud of this record. I didn't even know it was there," Warren said in a 1998 Privacy interview. The inspiration for Roadrage came about due to Bandai Records of Japan. "I was going to release the ambient albums on Bandai," he says, adding that they suggested that he put together another rock album like Thanks 2 Frank, which they liked. He couldn't believe he had nine songs - an album. It took him two fourteen-hour days to go through all the material and make the tapes. "This is the most emotional, spirited, fiery guitar playing that I've ever done," Warren adds. Even though many of us have tapes of the shows and have heard most of this material, Warren promises "You have NEVER heard it like this. This sounds like it was recorded in a studio."
